JOHN C. ANDRADE joined Parkowski, Guerke & Swayze, P.A. in 1987 and is a Director of the firm, concentrating his practice in the areas of product liability, environmental law, intellectual property and civil litigation. He is admitted to practice in Delaware and before the Patent and Trademark Office.
Mr. Andrade has represented the DuPont Company, and has worked with the Superfund sites of Delaware Sand and Gravel and Army Creek for over 30 years. He is the Chairman of the Technical Steering Committee for Army Creek, and a past Chairman of the Delaware Sand and Gravel Steering Committee.
Mr. Andrade is a past president of the Kent County Bar Association and is a member of the Delaware Trial Lawyers Association, the American Association of Justice. He is an adjunct professor at Widener University Delaware Law School, where he has taught products liability law since 1987.
Prior to joining Parkowski, Guerke & Swayze, Mr. Andrade was an in-house attorney for the DuPont Company for 8 years, concentrating on products liability and intellectual property. He graduated from the University of Connecticut with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering in 1973, an M.B.A. from the University of Delaware in 1978 and a J.D. summa cum laude from Widener University Delaware Law School in 1978, where he was an associate editor of the Delaware Journal of Corporate Law. He was admitted to practice law in Delaware in 1980.
